Corsican Mint Plant
Corsican mint, is an herb and species of mint, native to Corsica, Sardinia, and Montecristo Island, and naturalized in Portugal and in the British Isles. It is a very low ground cover with bright green leaves and a strong minty aroma. When touched or stepped on it releases a minty smell. Would work good next to doorways or pools. We have put it under the water faucets here on The Myers Homestead so when the water drips you smell Corsican mint. One of Shannon’s childhood favs!
How to Grow: Performs best in rich, moist soils in full sun or partial shade. It is best grown in partial shade in hot climates to prevent stress and leaf scorch. Regular watering during the growing season will help to promote healthy growth and prevent stress. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.
